Mane Event/Taste of Arlington Heights Spotlight: Javier’s Sabor Mexicano

If you’ve been to Javier’s Sabor Mexicano restaurant, 8 W. Miner Street, you’ve seen the Wall of Fame where generations of patrons’ pictures are featured.

That represents how owner Javier Villareal appreciates his customers, who have been enjoying fresh and authentic Mexican cuisine served up by the restaurant for nearly 25 years.

"So many of my customers came here when they had little children, and now they have grown up and they bring their children to dine here," Villareal said. "Many of them are on the Wall of Fame. I will have to create a new one because this one is full."

In addition to a vast array of menu selections, there also is a varied Margarita and Tequila menu for the everyday fan to true connoisseurs.

Javier’s is one of the featured food sponsors at the upcoming Mane Event/Taste of Arlington Heights on Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10 at Campbell and Vail streets.

The restaurant will be selling tacos and Margaritas in addition to a number of other menu items.
