Mane Event/Taste of Arlington Heights Spotlight: Carlos & Carlos
For nearly thirty years, the owner of Carlos & Carlos in downtown Arlington Heights has served up fresh and made to order fine Italian Cuisine. Stop by and sample several of the menu items offered at Taste of Arlington Heights.
Fresh and made to order; those are words the owner of Carlos & Carlos, 27 W. Campbell Street uses often to describe his approach to fine cuisine served is his restaurants for nearly 30 years.
"I truly enjoy this business, serving people is very rewarding to me," said Juan Carlos Montiel, owner. "I run this restaurant like my mother used to run her house, people feel welcomed as if they are welcomed into my home."
Montiel opened his first restaurant, Carlos & Carlos in Chicago in 1985. In 2005, he moved his business to 105 W. Campbell Street in downtown Arlington Heights, and then moved east to his present location in March of 2010.
Carlos & Carlos will be a featured food sponsor at Mane Event/Taste of Arlington Heights on Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10.
Among the tantalizing dishes that will be served up by Montiel are:
- Spaghetti and Meatballs
- Calamari Firenze
- BBQ Shrimp with Pancetta
- Lasagna
- Calamari Steak
- Fried Calamari
- Homemade Tiramisu
- Gran Marnier Bread Pudding
- Homemade Sangria
"We have the best food around at a moderate price, and when people come here I make sure they have a terrific experience," Montiel said.
"I feel very passionately about treating people well and appreciating my customers," he said.
