Dryden Filmmakers Win National Video Contest

Allow us to Illustrate is an original musical video created by ten 5th grade Fugleflick Filmmakers from Dryden Elementary School, Arlington Heights, IL. These young filmmakers spent over two months recording an original song, drawing on iPads, animating, and creating green screen effects to tell a short but effective story about the importance of illustrations. Visual literacy advocates will love showing this 2 minute movie to their students to inspire creativity and reading.
The movie was entered into the NextVista.org Cool Designs Student Video Contest, a national contest with entries from students and classrooms around the country. Judges viewed and scored videos and chose finalists in three categories: Student, Teacher, and Collaboration. NextVista judges selected Allow us to Illustrate as the winner of the collaboration category.
