Arlington Heights Historical Society is the New Farmers Market Manager

The Arlington Heights Farmers Market has a new market manager, but maintains the same balance of foods and products. The Arlington Heights Historical Society will operate the 15th Annual Farmers Market in the parking lot right across the street from the Museum, at the corner of Vail and Fremont, every Saturday, June 7 through October 18, from 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Vendor offerings will include fresh produce, plants, vegetables, meats (including Bison), olives, eggs, breads, pastries, herbs, flowers, cheese, jellies and honey. A vendor that provides knife sharpening services also will be at the market.

Founder and manager of the market, Claudia Starck, generously offered the operation of the market to the Historical Society. Claudia single handedly ran the market for 14 years as a gift to the community. She has now made another gift to her village by giving it to the Historical Society to generate funds to manage the collections and programs at the museum and at the same time, offering high quality, nutritious food source to our community.
