Hersey's Matt Swanson Medals at State Gymnastic's Meet
Several area high school students made the trip to the state men's gymnastic's meet this past weekend.
Two local high school students came home with medals following the state men's gymnastics's meet this past weekend at Lincoln-Way East High School Frankfurt.
Matt Swanson, a junior at Hersey High School, placed second on the vault with a final sore of 9.3. Buffalo Grove senior David Kavalerchik placed eighth in the parallel bars with a final score of 9.050 and also placed eigth in the all-around competition on Friday with a final score of 52.40.
