Hersey High School's cross country team is among the top teams in the nation, according to rankings by XC Nation.
As of Oct. 20, the team is ranked No. 20 in the country by XC Nation.
Hersey High School will compete this Saturday at the regional meet at Hoffman Estates High School. The meet will start at 11 a.m. at Busse Woods Forest Preserve.
The Hersey High School boys varsity and junior varsity won the Mid-Suburban League conference title at the meet on Oct. 19 in Buffalo Grove, according to results posted on the Hersey High School Cross-Country page.
The top finishers for the Hersey team at the conference meet were Andy Philipose in sixth place with a time of 14:55 and David Rodriguez in seventh place with a time of 14:58.
