Superintendent Interviews Begin Next Week in District 25

The board hopes to appoint a new superintendent before the end of the year.

Officials in Arlington Heights School District 25 will start interviewing new superintendent candidates next week.

The board is searching for a replacement for Dr. Sarah Jerome, who is retiring at the end of the school year.

The district hired BWP and Associates, a national executive leadership search firm, to assist the Board with the search. The firm has been working with the board, district officials, parents and the community to find someone to step into the position on July 1.

Prior to the interviews, board members will meet in closed session with the firm to prepare for the interviews.

The board is hoping to bring in finalists for the position on Tuesday, November 12, Wednesday, November 13, and Thursday, November 14 to tour the schools during the day. In the evening, there will be board dinners with the finalists. The number of finalists brought in on those days will be determined by the interviews next week.

The board has scheduled Tuesday, November 19 as a possible day for a site visit at the final candidate’s district.

Officials are hoping they will approve a contract and officially hire a new superintendent at their November or December board meeting.
