School District 59 Hosts Fifth Annual Science Bowl

The following information comes from a school district 59 press release. 

The School District 59 Fifth Annual Science Bowl will be held at the District 59 Administration Center in Arlington Heights on April 4, 2014, beginning at 9 a.m.  

Student finalists from Friendship, Grove and Holmes Junior High Schools will compete to determine the District-wide winner.

The Science Bowl was established to provide a challenge to District students in the area of science.  Each science classroom administered a special assessment to determine the classroom representative to the all-school Science Bowl.  Five top scorers from each of the three junior highs will complete in the district-wide event.

Students field questions covering human biology and health, earth and space science, biology, physical science and chemistry. The winning team will receive a plaque. The public is invited to attend.
