CCSD21, Indian Trails partner to give teachers expanded library access

Teachers in Community Consolidated School District 21 will have expanded access to resources in the coming school year, thanks to a partnership with the Indian Trails Public Library District.

An intergovernmental agreement, approved July 16 by the Indian Trails Board of Trustees and July 17 by the CCSD21 Board of Education, expands the type of materials CCSD21 teachers may access from the library to use within the classroom. Indian Trails serves a majority of CCSD21 students.

“This partnership will give our teachers access to great and varied resources and will reinforce the library’s value to our students,” said Dr. Kate Hyland, CCSD21 Superintendent. “We are very fortunate to be partnering with the Indian Trails Library and are proud to be responsible stewards of the community’s resources.”

“Indian Trails is pleased to offer access to the library’s resources to District 21 teachers,” said Brian Shepard, Library Director. “These type of partnerships are so beneficial to our community.”
