Bike Path & Road Improvements near Arlington Park Metra Station, Prohibited Residential Animals and More

The Arlington Heights village board will consider a number of items at its Monday, August 5 meeting.

The Arlington Heights Village Board is set to vote on a number of issues Monday at its meeting, including:

Intergovernmental agreements with the City of Rolling Meadows, Arlington Park Racecourse and other agreements to install a bike path and make roadway improvements between Rohlwing Road and the Arlington Park Train Station.

Owners of prohibited and uncontrolled animals may have to cover the cost of impoundment - a $20 administrative fee and $10 per day - if an ordinance amendment is approved by the board of trustees. The ordinance also clarifies that animals such as pigs, cattle, horses, goats, sheep or any other farm animals, including chickens, geese, ducks or similar fowl are prohibited at residences in the village.

A proposal to open Japanese Restaurant, 932 W. Algonquin Road, in a 1,750 square foot building for a sit down and carry-out restaurant that would seat 49 people will be considered.
