Arlington Heights Planning for Police Station

Community officials hope to have a new or newly renovated police station in Arlington Heights by 2020.

Arlington Heights village officials took a tour of the Palatine police station this week as they prepare to build or renovate one in their own community, the Daily Herald reports.
This week, the village adopted a preliminary five-year capital plan that includes the new or renovated station. Earlier estimates had the cost of a new station at $40 million.
Officials say they don't have a specific cost now, but hope the station will be up and operating by 2020.
