Arlington Heights Man Suing Police for Alleged Illegal Search, Seizure of Guns

Arlington Heights resident Arthur Lovi is seeking damages from the Arlington Heights Police Department for what he claims was an illegal search of his home, confiscation of three antique guns and his FOIA card, the Daily Herald reports.

Arthur Lovi, 72, of Arlington Heights is suing the Arlington Heights Police Department for what he claims was an illegal search of his home and seizure of three antique guns along with his FOIA card, the Daily Herald reports. 

The situation occurred in the summer of 2012 and came about after Lovi met with a therapist who contacted police after their session, the Daily Herald repots, and expressed concern about what was perceived as a threat against his deceased wife's former doctor
