The State House District 53 race features two Arlington Heights residents, incumbent Republican David Harris and Democrat Curt Renz. 

The 53rd State House District includes several communities including parts of Arlington Heights, Prospect Heights, Mount Prospect and Des Plaines. The Illinois State Board of Elections has a district locator.
