Police Report Stolen Vehicle, Burglary Attempt

This edition of the Arlington Heights police blotter includes information supplied by police Thursday, Oct. 11.

 

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

An unknown offender removed a used charcoal gray 2009 Nissan Altima and key fob from a car dealership at 1100 W. Dundee Road, some time between 8 a.m., Sept. 28, and 7:30 p.m., Oct. 5. It was reported stolen on Oct. 11, and found by the Chicago Police Department in the 2600 block of W. Rosemont Ave. There was minimal damage to the car, but the vehicle was missing the rear bumper and read deck.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY ATTEMPT

A possible offender was seen about to enter an unsecured front door of a residence in the 200 block of N. Yale Ave., at 9:55 a.m., Oct. 11. When confronted, the suspect stated she was there to clean the home, but must have been at the wrong location. The suspect swiftly walked to a silver Honda CR-V and left the area. It does not appear the subject entered the residence and nothing was reported missing.

VEHICLE BURGLARY

An unknown offender entered a locked white 2004 Buick Rainier parked in a driveway in the 1600 block of N. Highland Ave. some time between 5 p.m., Oct. 6, and 8:15 a.m., Oct. 7, and removed Costco prescription sunglasses valued at $200, an older model radar detector valued at $100, an HTC phone charger valued at $20, and a Garmin GPS valued at $300.
