Police Report Attempted Burglary; Public Indecency

This edition of the Arlington Heights police blotter includes information supplied by police Monday, Oct. 8.

 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY ATTEMPT

An unknown offender cut a rear window screen and attempted to pry open the window at a residence in the 1600 block of S. Surrey Lane, some time between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. The window remained intact and entry was not gained. A resident heard what sounded like the steel window well grate being opened and then lowered.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

An unknown offender shattered the lobby door glass and an adjacent window from the inside, in the apartment common area in the 2100 block of S. Goebbert, some time between 7 p.m., Oct. 6 and 2:22 a.m., Oct. 7.

An unknown offender threw eggs at the garage and front windows of a home in the 1000 block of S. Belmont Ave, some time between 2 a.m., Oct. 5, and 9 a.m., Oct. 7. The offender also knocked the mailbox off the post. The eggs did no damage, and the mailbox damage was estimated at 100.

PUBLIC INDECENCY

An offender was seen walking on the north side of Heritage Park, 506 W. Victoria, with his genitalia exposed while walking a small tan dog. The female witness was 87-years-old, and said this occurred at 11:15 a.m., Oct. 6.
