Police Blotter: Thefts, Vehicle Damage, Burglary

Incidents in Arlington Heights from May 28 through May 30.

Apartment Theft

An unknown offender(s) removed a mahogany lamp table valued at $200 and a free hanging deodorized valued at $75 from apartment a complex common area at 3300 Carriage Way Dr. The incident occurred between 7 p.m. May 29 and 8 a.m. May 30. 

Arlington Heights Police officers responded to an activated alarm at 200 North Arlington Heights Road.

The unknown offender(s) removed an unknown size and brand television from the wall in the apartment building lounge. The lounge door is left unlocked and ajar. The incident occurred at 3:15 a.m. May 30.

Lawn Mower Theft

A red Honda seven horse-power lawn mower valued at $400 from the front parkway lawn in the 400 Block of W. Hackeberry was removed. The offender (s) are unknown. The incident occurred between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on May 28. 

A 40yr old 5 foot long wrought iron bench valued at $500 was removed from the parkway in front of the residence. It is possible scrap metal collectors may have taken the items. The incident occurred on the 300 Block of W. Fremont St between 7 p.m. May 27 and 8 a.m. May 28. 

 

Two Lexus Vehicles Play Victim on Catalytic Thefts 

Two catalytic converters were removed from a silver 2007 Lexus RX350 and a black 2011 Lexus RX350. The incident took place between 7:30 p.m. May 28 and 7:30 a.m. May 29 at a parking garage located 155 E. Eastman St.

The converters are valued at $4,000. No one has been apprehended. 

 

Criminal Damage To Vehicle

The front driver side window of a black 2008 Honda CR-V LX has been shattered and what may have been paint thinner has been poured on the vehicle.  There have been similar incidents at this location. In 2010, the victim's vehicle had possible paint thinner poured on a different vehicle.

The incident occurred between 5 p.m. and 10:50 p.m. on May 29 at the 1700 Block of Dover Lane. 

 

Residential Burglary 

An unlocked patio door, led to $600 cash being taken a drawer at a condo in the 1600 Block of North Windsor. The offender (s) are unknown. The burglary took place between 4 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. on May 30.
