Nearly $12K in Jewelry Stolen From Arlington Heights Home

Diamonds, rubies and gold stolen from an Arlington Heights home during a residential burglary, police said.

Close to $12,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from an Arlington Heights home in a residential burglary, police said. 

Reported this week, the Arlington Heights Police Department are now investigating the burglary but it's still unclear when the items were stolen. And the suspects include the victim's family, friends and workers. 

In the 1900 block of E. Avon Lane, the Arlington Heights home was burglarized sometime in the last eight months or so. According to police, six rings, valued at $11,270, and a watch were removed from the house sometime between April, 1 and Tuesday, Nov. 27.

Individual items taken were:

  • $6,000 - Women's white gold cocktail ring with diamond 
  • $2,000 - Men's white gold cocktail ring with ruby
  • $1,670 - Suisse gold credit ring with diamond
  • $1,200 - Men's white gold cocktail ring with ruby
  • $850 - Men's gold coin ring  
  • Unknown value - Rado watch 

According to police, there were no signs of forced entry. Several people, including family, friends and workers have had access to the residence during the last eight months.
