Crime Alert: Park Bathrooms, Funeral Home Vandalized and More
The Arlington Heights Police Department responded to four reports of criminal damage to property the week of Halloween.
Park Bathrooms Vandalized
The men’s and women’s bathrooms at Pioneer Park were vandalized sometime between 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 and 6 a.m. Monday Oct. 29. The unknown offender or offenders pulled a sink and two soap dispensers off a wall, marked the exterior sign with orange marker and turned trashcans over.
It appears the doors of the park restrooms at 502 S. Fernandez Avenue were left unlocked after the football games on Saturday, damage estimate unknown at this time.

Pumpkin Plunged into Parked Car
Thrown into the side of a car parked on the 1700 block of S. Fernandez Avenue, a large pumpkin put a big dent into a 2008 gray Toyota Solara.

The unknown offender or offenders hurled the heavy holiday decoration at the car parked on the street sometime between 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28 and 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29. Damage to the vehicle unknown.
Funeral Home Sign Vandalized
The black portion of the Oehler Funeral Home sign was randomly scratched sometime late Monday, Oct. 29 or early Tuesday, Oct. 30. The damage to the funeral home sign at 2000 E. Northwest Highway is unknown at this time.
Tires Slashed
All four tires of on a black 2004 Nissan Maxima were slashed early Tuesday, Oct. 30 in an apartment parking lot on the 900 block of S. McKinley. Tires are valued at $600.
