Crime Alert: Five Residential Burglaries Reported in Arlington Heights

Five residential burglaries reported in Arlington Heights in one week.

According to the Arlington Heights Police Department, five homes were burglarized in just one week. From kitchen stoves to jewelry, burglars got away with a slew a goods, stolen from homes in Arlington Heights. 

Washer, Dryer and Stove Stolen from Home

Unknown offender(s) forced open the basement door on a foreclosed home and removed the washer/dryer, stove and some food items.  The value of the items is unknown.  In the 1200 block of E. Fremont, the burglary occurred between Dec. 22 and Dec. 24.

Home Looted of Jewelry, Family Heirlooms

The day after Christmas, burglars stole more than a dozen pieces of jewelry from a home in the 1500 block of S. Highland Avenue. Unknown offender(s) forced open the exterior attached garage service door and removed the following items from the second floor bedrooms:  gold coin, gold women's Movado watch, amethyst earrings, several antique gold rings, 8 to 10 women's watches and family heirlooms. The value of the items taken is unknown. The residential burglary occurred between 4:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Dec. 26.

Stove Stolen in Residential Burglary

With no signs of force, unknown offender(s) entered the foreclosed residence in the 900 lock of N. Hickory, and removed a Whirlpool stove, valued at $400. The home was burglarized sometime between 6:15 p.m. Dec. 22 and 2 p.m. Dec. 23.

Burglars Grab Gift Cards

With no signs of force, unknown offender(s) entered the apartment in the 1200 block of W. Central Road and removed gift cards from a purse and shopping bag. Valued at $150, the gift cards were stolen between 5 p.m. Dec. 26 and 7 p.m. Dec. 27.

Burglars Trigger Alarm

Unknown offender(s) forced open a back kitchen window, setting off the audible alarm of a home in the 1300 block of E. Camelot.  It is unknown if the subjects entered the home and nothing appears to be missing. The alarm was triggered around 6:30 p.m. Dec. 28.
