Arlington Heightst Blotter: Car Window Shattered, VAH Sign Spray-Painted

Criminal Damage to Property/Vehicle

Graffiti was spray painted on a Village of Arlington Heights sign by unknown offender(s) at E. Magnolia St. and S. Haddow Ave. The graffiti was reported on July 6 at 8 p.m.

A combination lock was damaged by unknown offender(s) who removed the rear wheel on a Huffy bicycle parked at the Metra train depot, 2200 W. Euclid Ave. sometime between July 3 at 5:30 p.m. and July 7 at 9:30 a.m. The rear wheel was found next to the bicycle and was undamaged. The lock is valued at $12.

Two glass lamp pole covers were broken by unknown offender(s) near a condominium in the 1100 block of S. New Wilke Rd. sometime between July 5 at 10 p.m. and July 7 at 3:30 p.m.

The rear window of a gray 2005 Ford Mustang was shattered while it was parked at Arlington Racetrack, 2200 W. Euclid Ave. on July 4 between 10:45 a.m. and 11:15 p.m. Damage estimates were between $100 and $200.

Theft

Unknown offenders pumped $31.09 worth of gas into a newer model Chevy Tahoe and left without paying at the Shell Station, 2113 N. Arlington Heights Rd. on July 3 at 10:05 p.m.

A men’s silver 21 speed 26-inch bicycle which was locked to a fire lane sign was stolen from the apartment common area in the 700 block of W. Rand Rd. sometime between July 4 at 6:30 p.m. and July 5 at 9 a.m. The bike is valued at $250.
