Arlington Heights Police: Beware of Phone Scam

The Arlington Heights police department said that a resident received a phone call from a number on his call-ID that stated "ISON1".

The caller said he was from "the credit card company." No specific company name was given. The caller said the resident's card had been used at Home Depot and one or two other stores.

The caller asked for the resident's credit card number, which he provided.

Police stated that later the resident realized his mistake and called his credit card company, learning that his credit card was used for several purchases totaling a couple hundred dollars.
