Arlington Heights Crime: Chainsaw, Catalytic Converters Taken

The Arlington Heights Police Department releases crime alerts weekly, and asks for the public's help by reporting information you may have confidentially.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

An unknown offender shattered a rear window at a residence in 1100 block of S. Vail St., entered the residence and removed a Craftsman chainsaw valued at $300 from the garage, a six-pack of beer from the garage and two jewelry boxes containing an unknown amount of jewelry from a bedroom. The incident took place between 9 p.m., Sept. 12 and 6:15 p.m., Sept. 14. 

Theft

An unknown offender removed the catalytic converter from a 2006 Honda Element  parked at a business at 85 W. Algonquin Road, some time between 2 p.m. and 7p.m., Sept. 13.

An unknown offender removed an unknown number of quarters out of two washing machines and two Dryers in the 3300 block of Carriage Way Dr. some time between noon, Aug. 30, and 10 a.m., Sept. 13.

An unknown offender removed the catalytic converter from a 2000 Chevy Cavalier at 717 W. Algonquin Road some time between 8:15 a.m. and 5 p.m., Sept. 13.

An offender was seen taking a children's bicycle off the first floor apartment patio in the 4100 block of Bloomington Avenue, at about 4:04 p.m., Sept. 14. The juvenile dropped the bike and ran after the complainant yelled for him to leave the bicycle.
