Arlington Heights Crime Alert: $3,800 in Tools Stolen, Eggs Thrown at Vehicle

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

Unknown offender(s) in an unknown vehicle threw eggs at a victim's gray 2011 Acura RDX as they were travelling northbound in the 600 block of S. Cleveland Ave. on April 21 at 8:35 p.m. Police say the eggs may have caused a small scratch on the driver's side door.

Residential Burglary

Unknown offender(s) entered an opened/unsecured garage under construction in the 500 block of N. Evergreen Ave. sometime between April 17 at 2 p.m. and April 19 at 8 a.m. Among the items that were taken are a DeWalt 12" mitre saw ($599), DeWalt 10" mitre saw ($199), DeWalt 2hp air compressor ($439), Bosch table saw ($599), Senco staple gun ($160), Senco nail gun ($180), Senco brad nail gun ($139), Griprite siding nail gun ($299), 10" saw blade ($80), Paslode framing nail gun ($249), 100' rubber air hose ($100), (3) electrical cords ($100), Makita cement shears ($240), Milwaukee screw gun ($149) and an unknown DeWalt tool ($139). The total value of the items is $3,860. Police say the items were visible from the street.

Theft

Unknown offender(s) cracked a black cable lock and removed a royal blue silver men's 24" Denali 21sp road bike that was locked to a bike rack at the Metra Train Depot, 45 W. Northwest Hwy. sometime between April 20 at 1 p.m. and April 21 at noon. The bicycle was valued at $500.
