We DON'T NEED MORE SPENDING, WE NEED LESS TAXES, AND OR WE NEED NEW LEADERS THAT WILL THINK OF THE PEOPLE FOR A CHANGE, CROOKS OUT HONESTY BACK IN. FIRE ALL OF THEM AND LETS START OVER, NO NEW POLICE DEPARTMENT!!!

No, you are not alone. I am working with others to minimize wasteful spending. Let there be no doubt, the 3rd party reports confirm that we need a new police facility. The only question is the size. Will it rival the new village hall (75,000 sf) or will it be something much smaller and cost effective? And what size police force do we need? This is a question that will impact our taxes for years. I'm all for maintaining the Village's infrastructure. However, I question the need for a top of the line facility which I'm sure PD will get. I also question the space and staffing needs. One thing is for sure…they can offset some of the facility costs by selling the squad car turn signals and brakes. Many of our cops don't use their turn signals nor fully stop at stop signs. I urge you all to document and report these instances to supervisors at PD.

Great comment about turn signals and brakes. Some of the new Trustees have promised to avoid the mistakes that created the massive, over-built and costly village hall. Even some involved now admit that it was a mistake. Lets hope that they find a way to incorporate unused VH space into a modern new facility on the current site. That would show a real commitment to saving taxpayer dollars.
