Thomas R. Piazza, 76, Arlington Heights

Thomas R. Piazza, 76, of Arlington Heights, passed away peacefully while resting at home on Nov. 18.

Visitation will be held Sunday Nov. 24, from 1 p.m. until the service at 4 p.m. at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, in Palatine.

Thomas was born Aug. 17, 1937, in Rochester, NY, to Anthony and Angelina Piazza.

Thomas graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology and pursued a profession in engineering which eventually brought him to Illinois.

Thomas’ favorite pastimes were golfing, gardening and feeding the wildlife that took up residence in his yard. He was strong-willed, driven and dedicated to his family as well as to his friends. He had a warm and caring heart and will be missed tremendously.

Thomas is the beloved husband of Renee Piazza; loving father of Thomas, Michael and Jennifer Piazza, as well as to, step children Michael and Julie Purcell and step granddaughter Darlene Krikie.  Also beloved brother of Mary Lou Klaus and Carolyn Marrocco, brother in-law to Angelo Marrocco and former husband to Joyce Piazza.
