Obituary: William Scott Spicer of Arlington Heights

The president of the Arlington Heights Youth Athletic Association, William Spicer was a band booster at Prospect High School, a founding member of PHS Endowment for the Performing Arts and IHSA official and coach.

William Scott Spicer was born in 1953 in Oak Park to Robert and Nancy Spicer. He died Palm Sunday, March 24, 2013.

William Spicer is survived by his spouse of 37 years, Kathy (nee McKenna) Spicer; his children, William Spicer, Brian Spicer, and Kelly Spicer; and brothers, Rob Spicer, Tom Spicer, Andy Spicer and Steve Spicer. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He served as President of the Arlington Heights Youth Athletic Association since 1989. Mr. Spicer was band booster president at Prospect High School and a founding member of the Prospect High School Endowment for the Performing Arts. He was an IHSA official and coach. William was Senior Vice President of Berghoff & Company Investment.  

Memorial visitation from 3 pm until 7pm, Friday, March 29, 2013 at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 916 E. Central Rd., Arlington Heights where a memorial service will be held at 3 pm, Saturday, March 30, 2013.
