Obituary: Robert J. Nellemann of Arlington Heights

Robert Nelleman was a Vietnam War veterans, Director of Marketing for IMS Buhrke-Olson and a role model to many.

Robert J. Nellemann was born on July 26, 1943 in East Chicago, IN to Oscar and Bernice (nee Urbelis) Nellemann. He died Sunday, June 2, 2013 in Arlington Heights.

Robert served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and achieved the rank of Lieutenant.  He worked as a Director of Marketing for IMS Buhrke-Olson in Arlington Heights and was a member of the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) and the American Metal Stamping Association (AMSA). He had a passion for sailing, reading, fishing, and hunting. He was active with scouting since childhood and assisted Troop 34 in AH. A role model to many, his commitment to his family and his work was inspiring. Bob cherished the time spent with his family and was loved by all.

Robert was the beloved husband of 42 years to Jo Ann (nee Miner); loving father of Christian O. Nellemann and Jonathan H. Nellemann; dear brother of David O. (Lynne) Nellemann and Richard P. Nelleman; dear brother-in-law of Bill (Patty), Mark (Kathy) and Beth Miner and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.  Services and Interment were private.
