Obituary: James John Lellman of Buffalo Grove

James John Lellman live courageously with ALS, and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. Visitation will be held Thursday, and a funeral on Friday.

James John Lellman was born on August 24, 1950 in Chicago, IL to Gordon and Phyllis (nee Schilling) Lellman. He died Monday, March 18, 2013 comfortably at his home, surrounded by his loving family, in Buffalo Grove.

Jim served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked as a Computer Analyst for Health Care Services Corporation in Waukegan. He was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Real Bearded Santas. He owned and operated "The Computer Guy" out of his home.  Jim loved to spend time with his family and was loved by all.

James is survived by his spouse Jane, whom he married on May 4, 1974 in Aurora; children, James D. Lellman, Sasha Jane (Christopher) Lysy, Sarah Beth Lellman, and Joseph L. Lellman; grandchildren Katelyn Lysy, Elizabeth Jane Lysy, Joshua Lysy, Justyn Lysy, and Lauryanne Lysy; mother Phyllis A. Lellman; sisters, Susan (Adolph) Schaschwary, and Mary Kay (Frank) Solazzo; 11 loving nieces and nephews; 18 great-nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Beth Williams; brother-in-law John Glaser; also included in the family, Robert and Jill Lysy.

He was preceded in death by father, Gordon Vincent Lellman; brother, Thomas Lellman; father-in-law, Royce Glaser and mother-in-law Betty Jane Glaser; and brother-in-law, Charles Glaser Sr.

Visitation  from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington  Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL  60004. Funeral Mass at 10:00 am, Friday, March 22, 2012 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego. IL 60543-0670.  Interment at Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora.

Jim lived courageously with ALS and wished to help others with this disease.
