Obituary: Helen S. Jaster Arlington Heights Lifelong Resident

A visitation and funeral mass will be held on Friday for Helen S. Jaster, a lifelong Arlington Heights resident.

Helen S. Jaster was born on June 4, 1917 in Arlington Heights to Jacob and Magdalena (Heckmiller) Scheirich. She died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Alden Courts of Waterford in  Aurora.

Helen worked as a Pharmacy Technician and as a clerk for Harris Pharmacy for 40 years and was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights.  She was an avid bowler and an excellent cook.  Helen loved to spend time with her family and was loved by all.    

Helen is survived by her children, Madaline (Thomas) Greenacre, Michael (Anne) Jaster, Jeff Jaster, and Susan Theobald; grandchildren, Stephanie (Eric) Burns, Edward (Heidi) Greenacre, Patrick Greenacre, Rebecca Jaster, Rachael Jaster, Daniel (Lara) Jaster, Tony Theobald, and Jennifer Theobald; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Eloise Burns, Megan and Katie Greenacre.  She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, whom she married January 4, 1948 in Arlington Heights; her parents and sister, Eva Trava.  

Visitation from 9:00 am until 10:30 am, Friday, June 7, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL  60004. Proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL  60004 for a 11:00 am Funeral Mass.  Interment at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
