Arlington Heights Church Remembers Father and Son Killed in Afghanistan
Gary and John Gabel were shot to death during an attack in Kabul, Afghanistan, last week.
This Sunday, members of a local church mourned fellow congregants Gary and John Gabel, a Palatine father and son who were killed in Afghanistan last week, according to the Daily Herald.
"Our lives are bonded with this family, and we feel, though we are not family ourselves, nonetheless, a very very great sense of loss," said Rev. Colin Smith, senior pastor at Orchard Evangelical Free Church in Arlington Heights, the Daily Herald reports.
