The Link Together Coalition along with the Arlington Heights Police Department kicked off “YOUR ACTIONS MATTER!” at the Arlington Heights Police Department last Wednesday, May 7th. This youth-led initiative was developed by the Illinois Liquor Control Commission and was a great success in Arlington Heights!
Thirteen middle and high school students, along with Arlington Heights Police officers, visited twelve local businesses that sell liquor and placed bottle hangers and posters in the stores. The youth-designed campaign materials carry a positive message that will also be distributed in locations throughout the state.
Most adults do not provide alcohol to minors. However, this campaign reminds us that Your Actions Matter and preventing underage drinking is everyone's responsibility. Thank you to the Arlington Heights community for keeping our kids safe.
