UPDATE: Arlington Heights Woman Dies in Chicago Crash

An autopsy is scheduled Thursday afternoon for Arlington Heights resident Shawn Daro, to determine what caused her death in the accident that claimed her life early Tuesday morning.

An autopsy is scheduled later this afternoon for Shawna Daro, 30, of Arlington Heights who was killed in a one car accident just after midnight on Tuesday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. 

Officer Laura Kubiak with Chicago Police Media Affairs said the investigation is ongoing into what may have caused the accident, road conditions have not been ruled out.

What Chicago police do know is that no other vehicles were involved in the accident that killed Daro.

According to Kubiak, she was heading westbound on at the 2000 block of Madison Street in her 2000 Toyota Scion when she drove into the median just before 12:30 a.m. 

Daro was pronounced dead just after 1:30 a.m. at Stroger Hospital, Kubiak said.

She graduated from Stevenson High School in 2000, and according to her LinkedIn profile, was employed at Bernard and Company in Palatine as an executive assistant at the time of her death.
