District 25 Hosts Taste of School Lunch Event This Week

There will be two events this week that will allow students to taste-test items on this year's school lunch menu.

District 25 students will get to taste-test school lunch options for the upcoming year at events this week.

The school district is inviting students in first through fifth grades to stop out to a school lunch taste-testing event, which will feature meals created by District 25 stuff "and student approved" that will be on the menu for the 2013-14 school year, according to a District 25 press release.

The first taste-testing event will be held at Thomas Middle School, 1430 N Belmont Ave., on Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The second event will be held at South Middle School, 400 S Highland Ave., on Thursday, Aug. 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 6:30 p.m.
