Winner Announced for Suburban Chicago's Got Talent Competition

Gabriela Francesca of Palatine came out on top among hundreds who auditioned for the talent competition.

Palatine resident Gabriela Francesca was named the winner of Suburban Chicago's Got Talent at the Taste of Arlington Heights Saturday.

Francesca was one of ten finalists who battled it out this summer in the competition, which was sponsored by the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce, presented by the Daily Herald and produced by the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre. 

Other members of the final top 10 included: Viper Fever (Tim and Dan Shemroske-Bartlett with Mark Glatt-Riverwoods), Riley Mangan (Arlington Heights), Andrew Johnston (Burbonnais), Sean & Karen (Woodstock), San Sandberg (Geneva), Kimberly Church (Carpentersville), Tiffany Streng (Arlington Heights), Ryan Cooper (Schaumburg) and No Immunity-Matt Kania, Meggie Kania, Molly Mcdermott and Andy Meyers (Arlington Heights). 

Francesca won a financial package valued at $2,000 to enable her to travel to an upcoming audition for NBC's America’s Got Talent, in hopes of making it onto the television show.
