'Hi Guy' Owner of Mysterious Metra Rickshaw

A colorful rickshaw has been parked a the Metra for years, according to the Daily Herald.

If you have wondered about a colorful rickshaw that is locked on one of the racks at the Arlington Heights Metra station, an article on the Daily Herald website provides some answers.

The rickshaw belongs to Tom Matti — the mysterious "Hi Guy"—who rides the rickshaw around the suburbs and in the city to brighten days by "saying hello to everyone he meets," according to the article.

Matti — who runs marathons — got the nickname "Hi Guy" after running a race with a sign that said, "Hi." The crowd would respond by saying, "Hi guy", according to an article in the Deseret News, which serves Salt Lake City, Utah.

The newspaper wrote a feature on Matti after he finished his 77th marathon for the year in July 2011 in Salt Lake City— 71 one of those which he completed while wearing sandals, according to the article.

There is more on the "Hi Guy" and his rickshaw on the Daily Herald website.
