Arlington Heights Church Supports Lift of Boy Scout Ban Against Gays

United Church of Christ in Arlington Heights leaders passed out literature and encouraged congregation members to contact the Boy Scouts and express opposition to the ban on homosexual leaders and scouts, the Chicago Tribune reports.

As the Boy Scouts of America organization plans to meet this week to discuss lifting the ban on homosexual participants, an Arlington Heights church made a strong stand on Sunday in support of the elininating the ban, the Chicago Tribune reports. 

United Church of Christ leaders handed out materials Sunday to congregation members, the Tribune reported, and called on them to contact the Boy Scouts to express their support in allowing homosexuals into the program.
