Finally, a family friendly Football Sunday event where we’ve put the “fun” back into fundraising, knowing there is something for everyone to enjoy. Our local Lions Club invites the public to come watch the game at their “SUPERBowling Party,” Sunday, February 2, 2014, 4:00 pm, at Arlington Lanes, 3435 North Kennicott Avenue, Arlington Heights.

The fifth annual “SUPERBowling Party” sponsored by the Schaumburg-Hoffman Lions Club will raise funds for Little Angels Center for Exceptional Care (www.littleangels.org), a state-of-the-art facility offering round-the-clock skilled nursing and therapies in a loving environment for children and young adults from around the Chicago suburbs who have severe disabilities and complex medical needs.

“Little Angels cares for a unique and very fragile group of individuals. With funding facing the threat of cuts and others challenges, we sometimes feel that receiving the services and care our folks need is an uphill battle. Then a group like the Schaumburg-Hoffman Lions Club comes along. The dedication and support they show toward Little Angels through their SUPERBowling Party is amazing. They pour their hearts and souls into this event, raising much needed funds for our Little Angels. In doing so, they put on a very fun and extremely well-run event,” relays Mary Jean Adkins, Director of Development for Little Angels Center for Exceptional Care.

The $15 advance ticket price for adults or $10 for children under 13 includes unlimited bowling, shoe, a delicious half time buffet, and the opportunity to bid on silent auction items: restaurant certificates, spa packages, sports memorabilia, and trips, including four Disney One-Day Park Hopper Passes, Chicago Auto Show tickets, a three-night stay in the Tower Guest Room at the AAA Four Diamond rated Atlantis Casino Resort & Spa in Reno, NV.

“If you love watching the big game while enjoying good food and drink with family and friends, this is the place to be.  So get off the couch and get in some strikes between the touchdowns – you’ll be having fun while helping people with special needs in the process,” says Debbie Nelson of Arlington Heights, a Little Angels supporter who will be attending with her family.

Be an angel – bring friends and family or gather up co-workers to form a team. All ages are welcome. To order tickets and for more information, go to www.shlions.org or call Lion    Vivian Leabhart at (224) 402-2153.
