Help Save Your Parkway Ash Tree (especially since Arbor Day is Friday)

Have you been noticing the changes in the neighborhoods that have been occurring throughout Arlington Heights?  Many Parkway Ash Trees have been coming down because of the Emerald Ash Borer.  However, not all of them have to be taken down all at the same time.   There are successful methods to treat these trees.

Five Arlington Heights neighborhoods have treated their ash trees with great success.  These neighbors have banded together to form the Save Our Ash coalition.  There are many reasons why homeowners should consider saving the trees instead of just having them taken down.

Arlington Heights is currently in the midst of rebuilding our urban forest.  It’s in all of Arlington Heights residents best interests, economically and environmentally, to treat as many of these Ash trees in the parkway and not lose all of them at the same time.
