Dog Found Dead in Oven After Home Burglary

According to Daily Herald reports, Arlington Heights Police Department discovered a dead dog in a convection oven.

After returning home from a July 4 out of town vacation, an Arlington Heights family found their home had been burglarized and their pet dog, CoCo missing, the Daily Herald reports. 

As the Arlington Heights Police Department was searching the house on 1500 block of West Roanoke, they discovered the family pet Cavachon was dead in a convection oven, according to the Daily Herald. 

Police have not released information on how the dog has died, but believes the death it tied to the burglary, the Daily Herald reported.

Authorities are still investigating but there are no suspects and no arrests have been made at this time, Criminal Investigation Bureau Sgt. Rick Kappelman told the Daily Herald.
