Celebration of Life for David Bogenberger, 19

A Celebration of Life will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Tuesday, Nov. 6 to honor David Bogenberger. He was found unresponsive late last week at his fraternity house on the NIU campus.

David R. Bogenberger, 19, entered eternal rest Friday, Nov. 2, 2012.  David was the cherished son of Gary L. and Ruth A. Bogenberger of Osprey FL, formerly of Palatine IL.  David is survived by his older brother Matthew, triplet sister and brother Megan and Alex, and younger sister Amy.  David is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.  David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth and Mack Gajewski and Virginia and Roland Bogenberger

David was majoring in Finance at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL.  He graduated from Palatine High School in June 2012.  David loved people and he will be missed by many friends from the Palatine and NIU communities.  David enjoyed films and playing baseball, basketball and football with his friends.  He had a smile that could light up a room, a quick wit and generous nature.

David’s untimely death devastated his family and many friends. .  

While he was taken from us too soon, we find comfort in knowing that he rests eternally in the arms of our Heavenly Father, and we look forward to the day when we will be reunited with our beloved David.

A celebration of life will be held in David’s honor on at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6  at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine, where David was an active volunteer and member.  A light lunch of David’s favorite foods will be served at the church, at 200 N. Plum Grove Road,  following the service.

While at Palatine High School, David enjoyed business studies in DECA, an organization which prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for business careers in high schools and colleges around the globe.  In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s honor may be made to DECA Inc., Attn Ryan Dyck, 1908 Association Dr, Reston VA 20191.
