Arlington Heights Accountant and Brother Cheat State Out of Millions in Taxes
Naveed Ahmed of Arlington Heights and his brother advised gas station owners in the metropolitan area to underreport gas sale, the Daily Herald reports.
A man from Arlington Heights and his brother pled guilty Friday in Cook County court to cheating the state of Illinois out of $5 million in taxes on gas sales, according to the Daily Herald.
Arlington Heights resident Naveed Ahmed, 42, owner of Midwest Financial Services in Arlington Heights, and his 38 year-old brother Asif Waheed of Chicago, the Daily Herald reports, helped gas station owners conceal gas sales figures.
